For a mid-sized city, Duluth punches well above its weight on craft beer and food. Breweries, coffee roasters and independent kitchens cluster in three walkable pockets — downtown, Canal Park and the Lincoln Park craft district — and Hostel du Nord sits right in the middle of it.
Where to drink and eat
The Lincoln Park craft district, just west of downtown, has become the city’s beer heart, home to well-known names like Bent Paddle and Ursa Minor alongside restaurants and a food hall. Downtown and Canal Park add more taprooms, brewpubs, coffee shops and dinner spots — from historic Fitger’s on the lake to Canal Park’s waterfront kitchens.
Because so much of it is walkable from the hostel, you can leave the car parked, wander a couple of districts on foot, and get back to your pod without worrying about the drive.
